I did a quick check and it appeared that I had the latest very old device. I have to use device manager to remove it then scan for hardware changes which reinstalls it and everything it then fine.

Broadcom is not helpful. Meanwhile following the steps mentioned in this thread will work around the issue if you can call disabling Ethernet a valid workaround until we have a real fix available.

The WiFi came back up, but the Broadcom is still disabled. How satisfied are you with this reply?
